At Skerper we are big fans of sharpening our own knives. Knife sharpeners are the best solution if you quickly and easily want to sharpen your knives. The sharpening parts in the sharpener are set at a fixed angle. As such the results will always be the same. You cannot go wrong!
Knife sharpeners are often enhanced with multiple sharpening particles with different grain sizes. The coarse sharpening particles are perfect when restoring a blunt knife. With the medium and fine particles you can make sure your knife will become razor-sharp. The amount of times you need to pull your knife through the sharpener, depends on the state of the knife. A really blunt knife will take longer to sharpen than a relatively sharp knife. In addition, the sharpening angle of your knife can differ from the one on the knife sharpener. If you use it for the first time we recommend pulling the knife at least 20 times through the coarsest part of the knife sharpener. Afterwards pulling it through 10 to 15 times will be enough.
