With this **Professional sharpening set 220, 1000, 2000, 5000** you will immediately own everything you need to traditionally sharpen your knives. This set is comprised of four Japanese sharpening stones and a practical sharpening stone holder that makes sure your stone stays in place as you sharpen your knife.

With the 220 grain you sharpen and fix really blunt and even damaged knives. With the 1000 grain you sharpen blunt knives. The 2000 grain ensures that your knife will become razor-sharp. And the 5000 grain will not only make your knives exceptionally sharp, it will also keep them that way! Use the dressing stone before you start sharpening your knives to create some slurry. The dressing stone can also come in handy to clean the stone after use.

These sharpening stones are made from synthetic resin-bound aluminium oxide. As such the stones are really hard and quickly remove material.

## Use
The sharpening stones from the Professional collection are water stones. This means you have to submerge them in water a couple minutes before use. This also means that as you use the stone you need to keep it wet by constantly adding water to the surface. As you sharpen your knife you will see a slurry emerge. This slurry is there for a reason! It will sharpen your knife. If you don't use water you won't create a slurry. This means that your sharpening stone will wear out faster and that the sharpening results are not nearly as good as when you do use water!
