With a dressing stone you clean the surface of a sharpening stone and make sure it stays in great shape. A dressing stone will hardly remove any material. ## How to use a dressing stone.
You have to submerge the dressing stone in water a couple minutes before use. The sharpening stone should also be wet. Move the dressing stone over the sharpening stone until the surface no longer contains dark metal particles. Rinse off the stone and the dressing stone and leave them to dry at room temperature.
