Our **Pocket Stone** is a compact two-sided sharpening stone with which you can also easily sharpen your knife or axe on the road. This sharpening stone has one coarse side with diamond particles. With it you fix and sharpen damaged or blunt knives. The other side is a fine side made from ceramics. With it your knife or axe will become razor-sharp.

The sharpening stone is 10 cm long and 4.5 cm wide. As such you can easily take it with you in your bag or pocket. Whether you are on an adventurous trip or looking for a sharpening stone to carry with you on a daily basis, with this Pocket Stone you will never have to use a blunt knife ever again. Regardless of where you are.

Both sides of this sharpening stone are extremely hard. The ceramic sharpening stone won't become hollow and the diamond-coated surface will, if used properly, last for years. Do, however, make sure you don't apply too much pressure to the diamond-coated surface as you sharpen your knives. If you apply too much pressure you can damage the surface.

## Use and maintenance
You don't need water or oil to use this stone. You can immediately use it and when you are done simply pop it back in your pocket. We do, however, recommend cleaning the sharpening stone once in a while. All you need to do is simply rinse it off under a tap and, if need be, scrub it down with a sponge or cloth. Properly dry it afterwards and you are good to go.

## Sharpening
When you just start using the sharpening stone it is much coarser than the final grind. We recommend using the sharpening stone on larger tools to pre-sharpen the sharpening surface. An axe, for instance, or a chisel, machete or shovel. How will you know if the sharpening steel is ready to go? The sharpening stone will, after a short amount of time, no longer become even smoother. That is when you know you are good to go. You don't need water or oil to use this stone.
