Our stropping paddles are quite large and, therefore, have a lot of surface to work with. As such you can easily strop large knives, such as kitchen knives and machetes. The stropping paddles are enhanced with an integrated handle for enough grip as you use the strop.
Stropping
Stropping is the final step in the sharpening process. It is also an indispensable step if you are looking for ultimate sharpness and a shiny edge! As you strop the edge of your knife you remove the smallest burrs, scratches and other imperfections that emerged as you used your sharpening stone. That is why stropping will only work if your knife is already really sharp. To make stropping on a leather strop even more effective, you use a so-called stropping compound or stropping paste. This is an extremely fine polishing agent that ensures you will end up with incredibly sharp results even faster.
