The Basic sharpening kit 180/600, 1000/3000 with diamond-coated sharpening steel

With our **axe sharpener** you can quickly sharpen your axe. The round shape ensures that you will always have enough grip when you sharpen your axe. In addition, this is a compact stone. As such you can easily take it with you in your bag to sharpen your axe on the road!

In addition to axes you can also use this stone to sharpen other large tools. Think of: machetes, shovels, hedge shears, lawnmower blades and more!

## Grain size
The grey side has a coarse grain size of 160 grit. With it you remove minor damage from the edge. The red side has a medium grain size of 600 grit. With this side you can make sure the edge is razor-sharp once again! You also use this side to keep the edge sharp.

## Use and maintenance
Before you use the stone we recommend submerging it in water for a couple of minutes. The stone will absorb the water creating a slurry. With this slurry your results will be better and your stone will last even longer! Allow the stone to slowly dry after use.

Secure the sharpening stone between your fingers and place it on the edge. Move the stone over the entire edge in circular movements until the edge is sharp again. Try to keep the movements small. As such you make sure the stone won't slip from your hand.
